Reader: Why am I seeing this clock every Saturday??
Me: That is a reminder that each of us has only 24 hrs in a day. It also marks the end of a week and a reminder to revise all that we learned so far.
This week, we started out by Understanding the different sides of the PMLA coin. While we did a breakdown for this topic, it is important to do a similar analysis for current affairs topics. Only when we understand both the perspective of an issue we will be able to give a comprehensive opinion. Some of the issues that had occurred in the past were:
Farm Laws: Government’s view V/s Farmer’s view
Agnipath Scheme: Government’s view V/s Students view
Ukraine and Russia war: Each countries demands
Further, we read about the similarities and differences between Classical Theory and Systems Theory. While the basic concepts about these topics might be covered in your books or classes that you might have taken, our article looked at the comparative element of these two. It is only when you compare theories you tend to understand them with a lot more clarity.
Neo-Classical V/s Modern Thinkers
In addition to the above, we shared one article linking current affairs topics with public administration concepts. This post covered the concepts of political culture, investigating agencies (ED) and a brief about the suspension of MPs in the parliament. For those who had been asking about interlinking concepts between Paper-1 and Paper-2, do check out this link.
The other two articles were about five facts related to Police administration in India and a Summary of New India @75. As you keep reading concepts, make your own collection of facts for each topic. Also, gather information from important reports to add weight to your opinions.
In the coming week, we will complete the remaining parts of New India @ 75. Also, we shall answer some of the previous year's questions given by UPSC.
Is there any specific topic/question that you would want us to cover? Do let us know in the comments.
That is all for this week folks!
Have a wonderful weekend :)
