PYQs-Police Reforms,PSUs; Quotes of Important Personalities and CA-Pub Ad link.
Welcome to the 185 members who have subscribed to the Public Administration Archive!!
Every day we all are growing bigger and stronger with your active participation, value addition, and feedback. We look forward to keeping this josh up so that our community excels together in Public administration both in theory and practice. #WAGMI
And for that, we need to revise what we read :P
This week firstly, we discussed a PYQ on Police Reform, which is a repeated topic in the mains examination.
While reading on Police Reforms, we also need to know the timeline of various committees constituted and their recommendations concerning that-
Secondly, it was about Quotes by Important Personalities from Paper 1. It is always handy to know and memorize the quotes of the Thinkers. It adds value and can be used to support your argument in answers to both the papers of Pub Ad. Also do share with us the same if you come across any to make this collection enriching!
Thirdly, it was PYQ on PSUs. Here we discussed the ways to have a balance of privatization of PSUs and maintain the economic health of the country.
Along with that, don’t miss out on the Roongta Committee Recommendations on PSU Reforms:
1. The government should look at listing 50 state-owned companies in the next five years.
2. The government is to draw up a year-wise schedule for the listing of CPSEs on a rolling basis for the next five years.
3. Better corporate governance
4. More autonomy for Boards of PSUs
5. Better utilization of resources
6. Increased Transparency
Fourthly, we read about the Union State Relations topic in the background of the NEET Bill Controversy.
Connect this issue with the Role of the Governor and Article 200 of the Constitution. This Hindu Explainer adds a little more clarity on the issue.
Finally, it was a CA-Pub Ad link post
Revdi Culture is about the debate of gift giving/freebies culture which we have also covered in one of our previous articles.
